Cuban Mojo Shrimp Skewers & Bárbaro Mojo Hot Sauce

Mario Cruz

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Bárbaro Mojo El Havanero™ hot sauce
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions:

  1. If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent them from burning.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, orange juice, lime juice, Bárbaro Mojo El Havanero™ Cuban hot sauce, and salt and pepper.

  3. Add the shrimp to the bowl, making sure they're fully coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl and let the shrimp marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 2 hours (the acid in the marinade can start to cook the shrimp if left for too long).

  4. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

  5. Thread the marinated shrimp onto the skewers.

  6. Grill the shrimp skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, until they're pink and cooked through.

  7. Serve the Cuban Mojo Shrimp Skewers garnished with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Drizzle with more Bárbaro Mojo El Havanero™ hot sauce if desired.

This Cuban-inspired recipe showcases the vibrant, spicy flavors of Bárbaro Mojo's El Havanero™ hot sauce, giving your shrimp skewers a deliciously fiery kick. Enjoy this dish as a tasty appetizer or pair it with some Cuban black beans and rice for a complete meal. ¡Qué bárbaro!
