Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers with Barbaro Mojo Hot Sauce

  • 10 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup salsa, drained
  • Guava Paste strips  (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 20 strips of bacon
  • Barbaro Mojo hot sauce (to taste)
  • Toothpicks

Preparing the Jalapeños

1. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Wear gloves to avoid irritation.

Making the Filling

2. Drain the salsa using a fine mesh sieve to remove excess liquid. Combine the softened cream cheese, drained salsa, and shredded cheddar cheese in a bowl and mix well.

Stuffing the Jalapeños

3. Spoon the filling into each jalapeño half.

Wrapping with Bacon

4. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with bacon and secure with a toothpick.

5. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and grill the poppers for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.

Finishing Touches

6. Drizzle the cooked poppers with Barbaro Mojo hot sauce to taste.

7. Let the jalapeño poppers cool before serving.

- For extra crispiness, consider partially pre-cooking the bacon before wrapping the jalapeños.

- If grilling isn’t an option, bake them in the oven at 400°F for 20-25 minutes.

- Adjust the heat level by varying the amount of Barbaro Mojo hot sauce used.
