Barbaro Mojo Chili & Chili Dogs

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1.5 lbs ground pork
  • 1 large white onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • One 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 3 oz tomato paste (half of 6 oz can)
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 1.5 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp ground oregano
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Barbaro Mojo El Havanero Cuban hot sauce (add more for more heat!)
  • One 30-oz can kidney beans, drained and rinsed (we used seasoned Goya not drained)
  • One 15-oz can pinto beans (do not drain)
  • 1 bottle of Dark beer 

Brown the ground beef in a large pot under medium heat. Then throw in the onions and cook for 3 to 5 minutes stirring. Add garlic and cook for another minute stirring.  Pour in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt and Barbaro Mojo. Stir together well, add the beer,

Worcestershire sauce, and stir again, then reduce the heat. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

After the 30 minutes, add the beans and simmer for an hour.
