Matanza™ Cuban Hot Sauce

Matanza™ is our hottest sauce, a limited-edition Cuban hot sauce built on the same mojo criollo base as the rest of the line. Habanero plus Carolina Reaper. The name comes from the traditional Cuban whole-hog roast, the kind that brings a whole town together for two days. Limited production. When the bottles are gone, they're gone.

What's different about it

Matanza is the only Barbaro Mojo sauce that pushes into Extra Hot territory. The Reaper does most of the work. Small amount, big payoff. Same Cuban-spice character as El Havanero and BDE, just turned up.

Flavor profile: garlic-forward and citrus-forward, framing an extra-hot Carolina Reaper punch with the sour-orange mojo base.

Ingredients: Tomatoes, Habanero Peppers, Sweet Onion, Distilled Vinegar, Red Bell Pepper, Mojo Criollo (water, salt, orange juice concentrate, lemon juice concentrate, garlic, onions, spices, sugar, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate (as preservatives)), Garlic, Salt, Carolina Reaper Peppers, Spices, Xanthan Gum.

How to use it

Marinade for grilled meats. A few drops on tacos. Mixed into chili or stews. Stir into eggs. Use sparingly the first time. Matanza will tell you what it wants.

Vegan. Gluten-free. No high-fructose corn syrup, no artificial colors. Includes xanthan gum (a natural thickener) and small amounts of food-safe preservatives (potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate) carried over from the mojo criollo citrus base. Standard for shelf-stable citrus products. Low sodium.
