Also commonly searched as "Pinazo" (without the ñ accent), same Cuban hot sauce, made with pineapple, habanero, and Carolina Reaper.

Piñazo™ Cuban Hot Sauce is pineapple plus Carolina Reaper, built on our mojo criollo recipe made with pineapple juice instead of the traditional sour orange. The name means "punch" in Spanish, and that's what it delivers: tropical sweetness up front, Reaper underneath. Award-winning, vegan, gluten-free, made in small batches in Miami.

What's in it

The base starts from our mojo criollo recipe, but instead of sour orange we build it with pineapple juice. Same garlic, same Cuban spices, different citrus. Then come datterini tomatoes (Italian heirlooms, naturally sweet), pineapple chunks, Fresno peppers, Habanero peppers, and a small amount of Carolina Reaper. The Reaper carries the heat. The pineapple keeps it interesting. That pineapple swap also means no artificial preservatives: the pineapple juice and distilled vinegar provide all the acidity it needs.

Award-winning

Piñazo™ took 2nd Place in the People's Choice Awards at ZestFest 2024. Voted on by hot sauce fans, not a judging panel.

Flavor profile: tropical and bright. Pineapple mojo up front, Carolina Reaper underneath.

Frequently Asked Questions

How spicy is Piñazo?
Piñazo is a medium-heat Cuban hot sauce with pineapple sweetness up front and a slow Carolina Reaper build underneath. About a 6/10 on the Barbaro Mojo heat scale.
What does Piñazo pair best with?
Pulled pork, grilled chicken, shrimp tacos, pizza, ham sandwiches, plantains, ribs, and anything sweet-and-spicy. The pineapple makes it the brand's best wing sauce.
Is Piñazo gluten-free and vegan?
Yes. Piñazo is gluten-free, vegan, and made with no gums, no thickeners, and no high-fructose corn syrup. It also contains no artificial preservatives: its base is built with pineapple juice instead of the sour-orange marinade used in our other sauces, so the pineapple juice and distilled vinegar provide the acidity it needs for shelf life.
What's in Piñazo?
Onions, yellow datterini tomatoes, pineapple juice, real pineapple, distilled vinegar, Fresno peppers, habanero peppers, yellow bell pepper, garlic, salt, Carolina Reaper peppers, and Cuban spices. The pineapple is real fruit and juice, no syrups.
What award has Piñazo won?
Piñazo took 2nd Place in the People's Choice Awards at Zest Fest and 2nd Place in the World Beat Mild/Medium category at the 2025 Scovie Awards.
Is Piñazo a glaze or a hot sauce?
It works as both. Use it straight as a hot sauce, or reduce it in a pan with butter to make a quick glaze for ribs, salmon, or wings.
